Planning the right food for our little one’s

Wednesday, July 28, 2010

It’s important to be prepared as to what you’re going to feed your baby, particularly in the first couple of years while their teeth and digestive system is developing. Many parents are confused as to what kind of baby food to five their newborns. Below you will find five guidelines that will help keep your child out of harms way during their early development.

1. Make sure you avoid any types of fruit with high levels of citric acid. Oranges, pineapple, lemon, tangerine — are all high in citric acid and should be avoided for at least the baby’s first year, until their digestive system develops more.

2. On the same note as citric acid content; spices, salt, and refined sugar are all bad for digestion and should never be added to baby food. Stay away from canned foods as they can be high in any one of these ingredients.

3. Peanut butter, soy, strawberries, raw eggs - should all be avoided due to potential allergic reactions for the first year. Even when you start feeding foods that have known potential right foods

New Daddy

Saturday, July 24, 2010

Congratulations for being a new daddy! Excited? Oh, I know the feeling but there’s  more to it.

As a new daddy, you need to be emotionally, physically attached to your baby and to your wife. Here are some useful tips to do that.

Tips for a New dad:

Educate yourself
See that stack of pregnancy and baby books cluttering your partner’s bedside table? Grab one and start reading. You can also boost your baby IQ by hanging out with friends who already have children. This stuff isn’t rocket science, but you do have to do your homework.

Practice, practice, practice
There isn’t some magical intuition that tells women how to care for their newborns — they learn by doing it, and so do dads. So get in there and change that dirty diaper, give your baby a bath, and do your best to comfort him when he’s cranky. You may fumble a bit at first, but you will get the hang of it.

Take the time
Being hands on with baby-care isn’t easy if you’re never around. Once you’re back at work, make spending time with your baby part of your evening and weekend routine. Pop her into a baby carrier and go out for an after-dinner stroll, or just sit for a while and talk or read to her (it’s never too early to read to your baby).

Step in
Your partner may feel she’s failing as a mother if she’s not the one who feeds, changes, dresses, and comforts her newborn 24/7. But it’s vital for your development as a father — not to mention for your baby and for your partner’s sanity — that you take over from her from time to time. So even if she protests, jump in and take on some of those baby-care chores. You won’t be sorry you did.

Stand your ground
Whether they realize it or not, new moms often undermine their partner’s chances of success by cutting in when he’s gingerly trying to insert tiny tootsies into impossibly small booties, or turning their nose up at his bath-time technique. If your partner criticizes you, gently remind her that you can handle it — as long as she gives you the chance.

Be a breastfeeding partner
If your mate is breastfeeding, bring your baby to her for feeds and give your baby an occasional bottle of expressed milk once breastfeeding is well established. You and your baby will get some quality bonding time, and your sleep-starved partner will be eternally grateful for your efforts.

Get physical
Fathers interact differently with their children to mothers, and that’s okay. Dad’s high-energy, physical play is the perfect counterpoint to mom’s gentler, nurturing care. So don’t hesitate to offer a game of airplane, horsey, or other time-tested dad-and-baby pastimes. But don’t let that be all you do. As childcare expert Penelope Leach says, “real men cuddle babies”!

Fashion for less

Fashion for less

Limited budget? Think wisely and buy wisely that is the attitude now of many people nowadays. When it comes to our little one, we want the best products on the market. We have safety in mind, comfort and an affordable price to look for.

It is always a good idea to do your research, to compare similar products along with their features and to make sure you and your child are comfortable.

Spend money wisely but make sure that it does not affect our little one fashion. What people see to them reflect what kind of parent they have. If you want people to respect you as a parents make sure that your babies have all they need especially fashion sense.

Avoid just checking out the magazines and buying modern baby clothes, buy what attracts you. But don’t let your first attraction be a basis for your choice. Weigh the possibilities if the baby dress for example will be as nice as now as it will be in the next six months or as a hand me down in coming years. Question yourself if the color & design is elegant enough to last for a long period of time or are they just the typical flashy and nice ones until the second or third use?

Buy a larger size. While you don’t like your children wearing clothes that are larger than their size, they do grow rapidly and it would hurt our pockets to have them grow out of it so soon after you buy it. So shop wisely and err on buying larger rather than smaller baby clothing.

Buy Kids Clothes made of tough fabric that will wear off immediately after several washes. Buy natural fabrics, but be wary since all cottons for example are of various quality. Look cautiously and give consideration how the fabric feels. Question the clothing store what problems people have had with the kind of fabric. Beware of artificial fabrics because they can be a bit itchy and don’t breathe, but don’t reject them immediately since there are some clothing that can be very soft and durable. Again, seek advice from a competent clothing store.

Look at the kind of fabric being used and make sure that it is comfortable and adequate for kids. Make certain it will not be too rough on the skin of infants or toddlers, as they really have sensitive skin . You don’t want to have your child whimpering or complain about wearing clothes you spent for.

Lastly, buy baby clothes that you can layer with during the cold weather and can be worn alone during the summer. This way, the clothes can be worn no matter what the weather is.fashion

Miracle Smile

Miracle smiles

It’s really amazing how a baby can put an end to a very stressful day with just a mere smile from them. It’s really surprising that a simple smile from a baby can lighten your mood even if you feel that day is the most worst day ever in your entire life. Well probably that is called a miracle smile.

Is it because of the purity of the smile from babies that everyone that sees it can feel it and simply can not ignored it?

It’s hard not to feel overjoyed when your baby gazes adoringly into your eyes and flashes a brief, but unmistakable smile. But is she really trying to communicate her joy at seeing you, or does she simply have gas?

Babies usually don’t start social smiling until about eight months, but their smiles can still say a lot before then. “In fact, babies smile when they’re asleep from birth

Just a Facts:

* Babies smile during sleep from the day they’re born.
* Infant smiles have nothing to do with gas.
* Your baby will respond to, and smile at, auditory stimulus (such as your voice) before visual.
* At two to three months, your baby starts to look right at you when she smiles.
* By six months, your baby will have different smiles – open mouth smiles usually indicate more joy than closed.

Toddler’s Sleeping Habits

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Parents need to begin their toddler’s training process at a early baby stage, and that starts by making their feedings further apart as the days go by once your toddler takes no more feedings at night he/she will have solid bedtimes and sleeping habits becoming part of their healthy lifestyle. Parents often get their babies/toddlers accustomed to certain things that makes it harder on themselves,” The Parent”.
Doe’s
Maintain healthy eating habits, and dinner about two hours before bedtime.
Keep a scheduled nap time routine throughout the day.
Make sure your toddler gets required playtime, good for his/her age as a form of exercise during the day.
Keep a consistent daily routine with all of the above.

Dont’s
Taking  babies/toddlers  for a drive to make them fall asleep, is a big one I recall doing that myself for one of my children.
Rocking them to sleep, I constantly see mothers do it
Your Toddler/baby should be kept from being close to a TV, Radio,
Sugary snacks should be restrained near bed time, and beverages should also be stopped at least an hour before bedtime

A good healthy routine as a baby will grow into a well behaved  healthy toddlers

Parents to Babies No.1 gift

Sunday, September 20, 2009

A name is the babies most important gift you can give him/her other than life. To choose a name you should consider the options, like a traditional name, unique names, trendy names, along with all options mentioned you have to consider the different draw backs, things that the child has to grow up with. Traditional names are usually the best options to go with, that’s my opinion of course, but we have the drawback with traditional names that wether in school or at work a student or employee may have to be called by initials if there’s others with the same name for instance there’s two people named Mike last names Lopez and the other Rodriguez, they have to be called ML, and MR to differentiate one  from the other.

With trendy names, unusual names we must be careful of the name that may leave an opening for the child in school or the adult at work to be ridiculed by their pears because of ther names. There has been studies on how a persons name affects a person, unusual names compared to traditional names are rated dramatically lower in categories like a person’s success, cheerfulness, and morality, it is known and a general finding that people don’t react well to things that are new ans unusual, so parents that think they’re being creative, you may be creating a life of turbulence for your children.
The best thing may be to attend or subscribe on-line with NAME CONSULTANT, ane more  beauty of doing things on-line besides shopping, and far more important
than shopping for your baby clothing

Buying Children Clothing is a constant chalenge. Children are constantly growing out of their clothes, and growing out of them so fast As they grow, children are children are theyare concerned with the way they look, and how their cloths fit, and so concerned about what the latest trends are, while parents are less concerned with that, parents are more concerned about saving , even buying last years styles

So in these hard economy times for many of us Shop owners, and on-line sellers  have to be aware of both the Parents trying to make ends meet, and the growing children, and their desire ofwaring the latest trends, this is why many websites are trying to have good customers support helping both Parents, and Children posting in their website Discount Children’s Clothes 31qnqtny9jl_sl210_having lower price children clothing, yet fashionable, to meet the children’s demand as we do.
